Karla Mattson
Karla is a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked for the Department of Corrections for the past 15 years. As such, she is very experienced working with adults, in individual and group treatment. Karla’s experience within Corrections also means that she is an expert in assessment and treatment of sensitive matters related to sexual behaviour, violence and relationship issues. Karla is also competent treating a range of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety and substance use challenges. Karla uses a variety of frameworks for assessment and treatment, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Self Change (CSC), Metacognitive Therapy (MCT), Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness practices.
